On the 16th of January 2014, IDS-BUD S.A. has signed a contract for the construction of the foundations of a turbine hall, reinforced concrete structures of the basement together with the turbo generator foundations, foundation grounding and underfloor systems (task I), as well as comprehensive construction of cable tunnels (task II) within the framework of a contract for the construction of a power plant unit with supercritical parameters, fuelled with fossil coal, with net electric power output of 1,075 MW, located in Kozienice (Enea), carried out by the Hitachi Power Europe and Polimex-Mostostal Consortium.

The Contracting Authority is Polimex-Mostostal S.A. Polimex is responsible for construction and assembly works, which amounts to about 43% of the contract. It shall be completed within 58 months.

The top slab of the turbo generator will be supported by 100 spring vibration isolators, which will eliminate the vibrations of the columns and of the bottom slab almost entirely.

The bottom slab of the turbine hall will have a volume of about 8,300 m³ and the concrete will be cast without technological breaks for about 3.5 days, while the top slab volume will be of about 1,850 m³ and the casting of concrete shall last about 24 hours in this case.

In total, the entire scope of works shall require about 21 thousand m³ of concrete and about 2.5 thousand tonnes of reinforcement steel.

This project shall be completed as follows:

Task I: until 20 October 2014.
Task II: until 30 April 2014.
