Construction of the 400 kV line Ełk Bis – border of Poland

On the 25th of June 2013, IDS-BUD S.A. signed the contract related to the project called “Construction of the 400 kV line Ełk Bis – border of Poland”. Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A. [Polish Electric Energy Networks, PSE S.A.] is the Contracting Authority.
 
The operators of the power transmission grid in Poland and Lithuania are planning to build a double-circuit 400 kV power line between the Ełk Bis station in Poland and the Alytus station in Lithuania. The subject of contract consists in preparing the Execution Design (Detailed Design) and constructing the double-circuit overhead 400 kV power line between the power station Ełk Bis and the border of Poland, together with the span at the border. The line will be equipped with 2 grounding wires combined with OPGW fibre optic wires. The estimated length of the 400 kV power line Ełk Bis - Alytus amounts to 160 km, out of which 111.7 km is located on the Polish side.
 
Completion date: 31 October 2015.
